the clip to one end of the floss, rest the separator on your lap or

strands at other end of floss, grasp the strands to be separated in

evenly until the thread separator is suspended, slowly separate
your hands until the strands are separated all the way down to the
clip, rest the separator on lap, remove the strands and repeat as
