Summary

Stoney Creek's popular Pattern of the Month continues with the April 2016 design "Hang a Shining Star."

We stitched the design by itself as a stand-up and also stitched all six designs together on 28ct Vintage Blue Whisper Cashel. It is displayed in a Whitewash frame and as a banner using a 9" Ho Ho Ho Fabric Holder. Stitch count for "Hang a Shining Star" is 51w x 67h, approximately 3 3/4" x 4 3/4" on 14ct. Stitch count for the entire design is 123w x 170h, approximately 8 3/4" x 12 1/4" on 14ct. DMC colors in "Hang a Shining Star" are B5200, 415, 704, 762, 890, 904, 932, 3371, 3713,3752, 3753, 3799, 3853 and 3854. Specialty threads used are Threadworx 1089 Bleeding Hearts, Glissen Gloss Rainbow Blending Thread 000 Bright White and 407 Brass, and Weeks Dye Works 1233 Cocoa (DMC sub 610), 1279 Holly (DMC sub 500), 2260 Curry (DMC sub 729), 2268a Candy Apple (DMC sub 321). The design is embellished with rich red seed beads. Optional embellishments are handmade glitter snowflake and carrot buttons.
