Stoney Creek's popular Pattern of the Month continues with the November 2013 design "Home is . . ."
We stitched the the design by itself and displayed it in a small whitewash crackle frame and ivory Milano kitchen towel. We also stitched the complete chart as the first
installment of a daily inspirations sampler and framed it in a large whitewash crackle frame. Stitch count for "Home is . . ." portion is 85w x 35h,
approximately 6" x 2 1/2" on 14ct. Stitch count for the complete
series is 200w x 115h, approximately 14 1/4" x 8 1/4" on 14ct. Our model was stitched on 28ct
Picture This Plus Cashel "Legacy" Linen over 2 threads. A fat eight cut is perfect for stitcing individual designs. If stitching the complete series a fat quarter will work fine. If looking for a less expensive alternate fabric we would recommend an
ivory aida or linen/evenweave. The design is embellished (optional) with
a handmade perched bluebird button. Weeks Dye Works 1259 Pamlico (DMC 640 sub), 1272
Tatanka (DMC 3031 sub) and 2200 Kudzo (DMC 3012 sub) are
used in addition to DMC colors 738, 926, 927, 928, 3011, 3012, 3013, 3031, 3826 and 3857.
